Le Gala du 30e anniversaire de l’Opéra de Montréal

In collaboration with Espace musique (Radio-Canada), ATMA Classique presents a double CD live recording of the gala concert marking the 30th anniversary of one of Quebec’s most prestigious cultural institutions, the Opéra de Montréal. The concert was recorded on December 6, 2009 in Montreal’s Place des Arts. A host of stars performed, including such leading Canadian singers as Marc Hervieux, Marie-Josée Lord, Lyne Fortin, Marianne Fiset, Aline Kutan, and Aaron St. Clair Nicholson, accompanied by the Orchestre Métropolitain directed by Alain Trudel. This banquet of songs includes the most celebrated arias, duos, trios, and quartets from beloved operas such as Bizet’s Carmen, Massenet’s Manon, Verdi’s Rigoletto, and Puccini’s La Bohème.
