Allyson McHardy is a currently a part time professor of voice at the University of Ottawa.
In addition to an active international career in opera, concert and recital repertoire, Allyson holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a Diploma in Opera from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has given masterclasses across the country including Vancouver Academy of Music, Wilfrid Laurier University, Atelier Lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal, Calgary Opera, and Pacific Opera Victoria. She has served as an adjudicator for the Glenn Gould School and the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec. In collaboration with the Toronto Arts Council she was selected for a one year collaboration under the Newcomer & Refugee Artist Mentorship Grant to mentor Iranian soprano Shahrzad Dastoornezhad.
